1. What you think of your Medit intraoral scanner?

The Medit i900 scanner is an excellent product and its capabilities far exceeded my expectations. It really is a ‘multi-purpose’ device and patients love the idea of digital scanning. Digital images are so much easier to store, or transfer to a laboratory. They also enhance communication with the patient who can see so easily on the screen where their dental issues are.

2. How would you rate the installation and training process?

The installation was extremely professional and caused no disruption to our practice. There is a ‘learning curve’ with all digital devices but the training was so good that I immediately felt comfortable using the device. It was clear from the outset that we could spend as much time as we needed on the training day to get comfortable with the device. The trainer was extremely patient and answered all questions with competence and reassurance.

3. How did you find the SCD after-sales support and learning to use the scanner?

There is no doubt that it takes time to feel at ease with digital scanning, but the more frequently it is used the easier it becomes. The software is complex in its capabilities but it is designed to be ‘user friendly’. As questions arise over time the back up support is immediate and comprehensive and always provided in a friendly and reassuring way. Our clinicians have been so impressed that we are planning on buying a second scanner for the practice.
