Considerations

Benefits

  • Very strong and accurate
  • Excellent long-term stability
  • Resistant to fracture and crack propagation
  • Excellent marginal fit

Considerations

  • PFM should be avoided where aesthetics and translucency are a priority.
  • Care with case selection for extensive implant-borne zirconia frameworks
  • Full coverage zirconia-based restorations with adequate retention do not need resin bonding.
  • SCD only use ceramics with US IdentCeram® certificates.

FMZ is a solid, fully-milled, pure monolithic zirconia crown or bridge restoration with no veneering ceramic. This product offers natural aesthetics, excellent translucency, lifelike characteristics and 1000 MPa flexural strength.

WHY FMZ?

FMZ is ideally suited where patients desire an aesthetic, tooth-coloured restoration but lack preparation space. Due to its high flexural strength, it is also a good option for bruxers where opposing restorations are metal or zirconia. FMZ is a popular patient choice for metal-free restorations. Conservative preparation similar to full gold crowns is acceptable.
